November 2012 Odds and Ends

Grandpa Brent joined us one Sunday afternoon while Grandma Pat was at work - and he and the kiddos played several rounds of "as goofy as you can" ping pong. :)

I know - PRETTY darn goofy!  Don't you worry, though - my kids give him a good run for his money.  ;)

Miss Krystal and her BFF, Aeryn, spend SO much time together.  Seriously - they have weeks where they are completely inseparable.  They are constantly coming up with new things to play.  This particular evening they started a Super Hero training camp -- which ended with this setup (1 - it took them forever to set it up, and 2 - they played it forever after it was setup and had no need for any other trainings)  :)!  Even Brother Aaron (for some reason, that's what we call him when he and Aeryn Peterson are both around) got in on the fun!

Here are some pics I snapped of the kiddos just doing their thing - Marissa has been working on an embroidery project for personal progress. And, of course - when Marissa works on something like that, Krystal has to start a project of her own. :) Cuties. And - just to emphasize how busy Krystal always is - one night (at bedtime mind you) - Krystal somehow convinced me that she needed to make brownies RIGHT then ... she would "do everything on (her) own and clean it all up and everything, so PLEEEEEEEASE Mom?!" Well, leave it to that little 7 year old to stay true to her word. The brownies were delicious, too! 

Together ... always.  Although - I did get a text the other day from Travis (Aeryn's dad) that said - "Krystal is on her way home.  Apparently the girls have reached their saturation point of togetherness finally."  hahaha!  I'm so grateful for Krystal's sweet and awesome BFF!

And - I kept Aaron home from school one day just so the two of us could spend some time together.  Look what we did!!  haha.  Yep - we went driving in the church parking lot.  He was a natural (although he's got 5 years to go).  We had a fun day.
