Candy Candy Candy ... and a little house :)

One of our VERY most favorite "24 Days of Christmas" is our get-together with friends for a soup pot luck and candy-house-making-night  Check out the goods!
I was cracking up at these two littles stretching their arms as far as they could to get some candy!  heehee.

Carly and I spent a good amount of time HOT GLUING the graham cracker houses together.  Yep - it takes TONS less time to use hot glue instead of frosting -- and, considering that we made 26 houses (some insane amount like that) -- hot glue is the way to go.  I'm never going back.

Here are some of the kiddos getting ready to start -

And then we just say - "Ready, Set, GO!!"

Marissa's cute house:

My friends keep requesting a "contest" with judges for the candy houses -- but, as you can see from mine and Ty's house below -- we are not pushing too hard for that.  HAHA!  Ty and I have very little patience for details - we just start throwing it all on.  Ty's favorite candy is those pink mento-type candies - and so, we made a "pink house" in honor of those.

Cute Krystal!

Allison and Marissa - we are sure lucky to have this lady in our lives!

The kidlets and their houses!
The grown-ups and our masterpieces!
Candy-a-liscious!

I have to admit - putting this post together 2 months late sure brings back good memories.  We have such fabulous friends in our neighborhood!
