Midway with the Jenson Clan 2013

Our Midway week started off really crazy - Marissa and I were at Girl's Camp when Ty and Aaron and Krystal headed up to the condo.  Marissa and I were just dropped off there on Saturday straight from Girl's Camp.  Although we got to have a nice hot shower - Miss Krystal had gotten sick during the night Friday - and fought nausea all day Saturday (although her blood sugar stayed steady)!  She took a turn for the worse Saturday night and ended up in the emergency room - she had strep throat.  :(  Luckily - after her first 2 doses of antibiotics - she was feeling SO much better - but, couldn't swim or play until Sunday morning.  We let her come put her feet in the pool, though.

Everyone was having so much fun in the swimming pool, and Krystal was feeling really down that she couldn't play yet.

So, Tyler let her splash him like crazy from the edge.  That cheered her up.  Silly girl.

And - after 24 hours - she was playing like crazy!

We ate chicken nuggets from McDonalds for dinner one day - and Krystal just did NOT want that - so, we took her to the grocery store to choose out what she wanted.  She chose - tomatoes with salt, an apple, and some cuties.  Ha - no wonder McDonald's wouldn't quite do when she was craving stuff like that.  :)

 

I laughed so hard at these races the kids did on each others' backs!  The littles carrying the biggies was so dang hilarious.

On one of the days that Ty was at work - I had packed tomato soup and noodles (that I made at home and brought) in these recycled jars.  Because I put the soup in hot - it must have sealed them shut like super glue.  We ALL tried like crazy to get those lids off!  Ryan was finally able to do it with a lot of manly sounds and said, "I'll never say that cussing under my breath doesn't help!"  haha.  Thanks for making it possible for us to eat lunch that day, Ry!

We taught Aaron how to play Settlers recently - and these boys pretty much played it nonstop all week!

That was really really fun!

When Ty got home - we had ourselves a Just Dance Contest.  Tyler and Ryan totally rocked - (I've never heard Marissa and Anaka laugh so hard).  :)

Good times.  (Unfortunately - Marissa ended up with strep throat a few days after we got home - then Krystal got it AGAIN 10 days later - and THEN Tyler got it also.  Gross and miserable.)
