We had our New Beginnings (for Young Women) Program in February to introduce the new theme for the year (along with our sub-theme) and welcome the incoming beehives. What a beautiful night!
The theme for 2014 is "Come Unto Christ" - and we gave New Beginnings the theme "Let Him In" to coordinate. We used soft colors and vintage decor, had a spiritual program with several musical numbers, and served a crepe bar for dessert.
Here is the front of the room where the speakers presented:

After all of the young women and leaders sang the 2014 theme song "Come Unto Christ", and some of the girls presented the eight personal progress values and how they will help us become more Christlike, we spotlighted each of the new incoming beehives. We then presented them with a jar of skittles (the colors representing the values) and made them THE cutest flower ring and attached a tag with the following saying: "Come Unto Christ and You Will Bloom and Grow". Carly made the tags - designed them herself! She is amazing. The girls loved them.
We presented all of the Young Women with a key with the reminder to "Let Him In" - always remember Jesus and let Him be a part of our lives through our actions and thoughts and words and life.
This is the set-up we had for the back of the room (the dessert table). I really loved the use of old doors as a reminder to let Christ into our lives.
This man. #1 - I am so lucky that he is all mine. #2 - He spent 3 1/2 hours making crepes for this New Beginnings event - 80 crepes! (and that was only half of the total made!) #3 - they were deeeeeelish.
We had a beautiful and spiritual program with musical numbers that the girls worked so hard on! They were incredible with gorgeous harmony and perfect messages for us to come unto Christ and let Him in our lives.
Rachelle turned 12 two weeks before our New Beginnings program - and was spotlighted as a new beehive. She then sang her first solo this night!! She has the voice of an angel - and, believe you me, there was not one dry eye in the room while she performed. The Spirit was so strong!
Marissa got to spotlight one of our faves! Ellie Peterson. :)
Sephra was true to her craziness in trying to bug the heck outta me. :) That is a strawberry coming out of her mouth. She was trying to get me. Love the photo bombing in the background. That is Zach - another leader's son (and SHE is an expert photo bomber herself, so he has learned from the best). haha. I am sporting a "Jazz" hand true to my new Jazzercise self style. LOL.
Huh. No pictures of the crepe bar. Dang. It was phenomenal and deliciously yummy. What a fantastic night!
