Ya know - sometimes March comes around and we start to feel like Winter might never end. This March was not too different - although we got lotsa teaser days in there as well. Our daffodils sprouted and then got froze nearly to death several times. Needless to say - it's a month (weather wise) that makes us yearn for Springtime. It's always a great month for the Aar-Bear and T-Man, because they usually get to go skiing. :) This year - gramps went too - and they enjoyed a beautiful (albeit slushy) day of skiing.
Aaron got to go a couple of times this year with his padre and buddies - but, didn't get any pics other than this day with his Dad and his Grampa Brent. I'm so glad they have been able to enjoy skiing together.
Grandma Pat and Grandpa Brent got us all tickets to Soldier Hollow this year - and it was SUCH a cold year - we didn't end up using the passes until the FINAL day! It was super warm and super slushy - and we seriously had the time of our lives (and the workout of our lives ... just sayin'!) :)
The coats, hats, and even gloves came off one by one as the day progressed! We were working up a sweat! We figured out that if we went down the hills ALL together - in a perfectly weighted order - and had two "runners" to help push us down - we could get some pretty good speed on those hills ... aaaaaand make it to the bottom. But - it was a lot of huffin' and puffin' until we figured that out. haha. When we did though -- whew! It was dang fun.
M came up with us - and took care of this lil' munchkin. I'm pretty sure M worked up a sweat as well. Ella is a busy body! Thanks, M - love you!
One of our trial runs - we only made it down 3/4 of the way. We sure got in a lot of laughing. Once Mom and Dad (grandma and grandpa) got on board - we seemed to fly down those hills! They musta had the magic touch. :)
Get the coat, gloves, and hat OFF! ah - much better. ;)
Now - we all get pulled up to the top on these tubes. But - just pulling these things (full of the littles, of course) to the loading dock was killer! haha. Thank goodness we had Aaron. He was a rockstar with the pulling.
When the younger brother outgrows the older sister ... (okay - so, Marissa's a shorty) ... but, still! Aaron celebrates that feat daily. :) Beautiful day - and beautiful people.
My Mom got an awesome video of one of our rides down. I would be so happy if I remembered to get it from her and put it in here. :) We'll see how that goes ....
lol.
What a great day!
