Miller Family CampOut 2014 (Part 1)

Welcome to Millsite - the beautiful area that we spent our weekend together for our annual camping trip.  The kids look forward to this trip SO MUCH every year.  I'm pretty sure we all do!

This year - the Chewster got to join us!  M's brand new, cute lil' pup:

Our surroundings were quite unique and gorgeous:

Krystal and her poses - she is the queen of "Take a picture of this!"  And Aaron is twelve going on sixteen -- and pretty dang good behind the wheel (and never stops begging to drive).  I give in occasionally!  We had the entire campground to ourselves the first day we were there.  So, Aaron drove around quite a bit.  (It helped to keep the van parked in the shade).

We started off fantabulously by 1-getting in trouble for riding the fourwheelers with too many kids and no helmets and around the parking lot, and 2 - busting a pole on our tent!  AGH!!  We jimmy rigged it with an extra pole and duct tape.  Nice.  ;)

Love this crew!

Gramps got us some dinner grilling right away - and James jumped directly UP the tree to finish securing our tent so the wind wouldn't break more poles!

Once we got all settled in, it felt good to just sit back and relax a bit.

We sure love these littles!  That Ellaboo kept us all on our toes -- and smiling the whole time -- and so did ChewieLewie!  Chewie started off fantabulously by twisting his poor little leg.  :(  But, he sure looked adorable with his leg all wrapped up.

One of our favorite parts of camping out is playing cards!  Mostly because we all can smack talk pretty good.  We ALL like to win!!

Breakfast!!

More gamin' -

Such a great set up!

A little baseball for all.  The kids had some pretty good swings!

And, I really got a kick outta Chewie hanging out right by Tyler while he did the pitching.  So cute!

Marissa is totally in her element when she's helping with little people.  She really is so sweet and patient and cute with them - and loved BY them.  Oh, how she loves this little Ella!!  We all do!

I'm so grateful for the memories and bonds that we make every Summer during this family campout time!  Tyler is the best daddy ever taking the kids four-wheeling, golfing, canoeing, fishing, sport-playing, s'mores roasting -- the whole time!!  They are major adventurers and love all that playing!  I like the hiking and lounging.  Ha!

We never buy soda.  Ne.ver!!  Except - for our camping trips.  Then the kids get to choose one of their choice - and we buy a big pack of it (along with the Shasta brand drinks).  Ew.  They certainly get their fill of soda throughout the week.  I wonder if they go through withdrawals afterwards when they are back to water drinking only?

Awwwwwwh.  This li'l dude and his cute wrapped leg.  He's such a sweetie!

These guys are old enough now to head out on their own and do what they feel like!  I'm glad they like to hang out and have fun together!  <3

Here's our set up -- our tent is just to the right of Mom and Dad's tent trailer.  We had the whole lake right behind us -- and this huge grassy play area right in front of us!  Awesome!

One of the usual requirements -- a close-ish golf course.  :)  Mariss didn't want to golf - but, she tagged along and drove a golf cart!  These people love their golfing!

Kristy goes all hog wild when more than half the grown ups/older kids are gone - and takes ALLL the littles out in the canoe on her own!  My vote was to make them all color.  lol.  She's obviously the awesome one.  *thumbs up*

Cuteness overload!!

I just love how well these kidlets get along!

And -- the second Ty's back from golfing - he's taking these guys out on the water!  What a stud.  Good looking people, right there!

I love THIS (see below)!  Just hanging out and enjoying good company and great surroundings.

Fishing.  So pretty.

S'mores around the camp fire -- also one of my favorite parts of camping!

... to be continued.  :)
